Mom is home! She got home around 3:30 today after the doctor had time to come and check her one more time. She is now at home resting comfortably. She's on a lot of meds so right now it's a lot of sleep and just relaxing and she will be able to sleep better tonight without all the extra hospital noises.
We are all thankful for the continued prayers and thoughts and can't thank you all enough. God has blessed us so much.

Post surgery
Hello everybody! It's Amanda and mom had her surgery yesterday. It's at the Grand Haven Hospital, so dad and her left just after five yesterday morning so they could arrive by six with the people that would be doing her surgery. The surgery took five and a half hours and it went pretty well. Before the surgery she was told she would be in the hospital for 1 to 3 nights so she stayed last night and the plan right now is that she will be able to come home tomorrow. Just talking to her she said she felt good just sore. I don't have much specifics yet but I'll post when I do. Thanks everyone for the prayers and thoughts.

Surgery
Just a quick update to let you know I will be having surgery on April 21. I will be in the hospital at least one night and then home with a home health nurse. I was told to plan on being off work for six weeks but if I felt up to it that I may be able to go back sooner.

One Year
One year ago yesterday I got my phone call saying my biopsy results came back positive. One year ago today I was sitting in the surgeons office being told I had stage 2 breast cancer, and the whirlwind began.
Today I sat in the surgeons office and was told everything looked good. She did not say I was remission though she told me she considered me cancer free! That was great to here, but I am still a little anxious to here it. I still go for appointments every 3 months and will for a long time. I have a appointment with the plastic surgeon on March 18 to find out if my skin has healed enough from radiation so we can start with reconstruction.
I had lots of anxiety for awhile about doing another mastectomy and reconstruction, but now that it is getting closer I am eager to get the process going and be done with it. I have come a long way in the past year and I feel great, but I still have a ways to go. I do think the worst of it is behind me though. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support over the past year. We would have never made it without them.

27 done
That's right 27 done 6 more to go! It has gone really fast. I'm not sure if I am going to know what to do with myself when I am done with radiation. After going 6 weeks it will be good to be done. I really have not had any bad reactions to it. My skin is "tanning" and I have a small area under my arm that just started to peel but it is not bad, hopefully this is the worst it gets.
I was talking with someone the other day that has 5 years done and she said she would not trade her experience for anything. It got me thinking; I started my journey 7 months ago and in those 7 months I can't say I would change anything that I have gone through. Cancer to me has not been a terrible experience. I would not wish it on anyone.Everyone's experience is different and I still have some things to go through but as I look back God has been good to me and I don't think I ever had the thinking that I can't do this or why me? It was,"This is what I need to do and lets do it." I have had great support from so many people also and that also was great help.

3 down 29 to go
As the title say's 3 down and 29 more to go. Radiation started this week. It is very quick. I am normally in and out in 10 to 15 minutes, but like I said before it is 5 days a week for six week's.
I have been doing physical therapy for my arm to get more range of motion and should be done with that next week.
My hair is starting to grow back in. It is kinda fun to watch it day by day grow and turn darker. It will be interesting to see what it actually turns out like when it fully comes in.
I will keep you updated on how things are going, and again thanks for your continued prayers.
